Congratulations on becoming a member of the largest and most active Premedical AMSA chapter in the nation! The page was made so that members like you (and future members to be) could have a place to go to have your questions answered. Whether you want to know more about AMSA rules and policies or just a place to find a study group, this is the place. Don't hesitate to tell us if something you need isn't on here, we are constantly updating and changing this page to make things easier.

Excused Absence Form For General Meetings (More Info!)

We understand that the first and foremost priority of a PreMed Student is school. After all, if you spent all your time doing AMSA work, that would defeat the purpose of AMSA! We have created a form to fill out ahead of time so that you can be excused for any possible, exams, classes, labs, or anything else school-related. Please note that this is just for the General Meetings, and does not apply to your committee events. Also, conflicts such as social events and the simliar will not be excused.

Communication (More Info!)

Want to know what is required on an AMSA member to stay well-informed? How about where else to go when you need an important question ansewered? It may seem a little intimating at first, but once you get the hang of important things like the LISTSERV, the world of AMSA is at your fingertips.

General Meetings (More Info!)

"See ya at Shands!". Once a month AMSA hosts a General Assembly Meeting at Shands Hospital. Not only are a certain amount of them a requirement for Good Standing, but it's a great place to meet with friends and hear from awesome doctors and current medical students. Besides, sometimes AMSA has cool contests and free food, depending on certain days.

Good Standing (More Info!)

There are always questions about what it takes to be an active member in AMSA. Good Standing may not be a requirement, but it's an excellent way to put AMSA on applications. Besides, getting involved was never easier, there are plenty of socials, financials, and committee events to attend!
