Medical College Forum

Please read the following information carefully:

Dear Medical College Forum Participant,

The University of Florida Premed AMSA chapter thanks you for your interest in the Ninth Annual Medical College Forum. This year's forum will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2006 in the J. Wayne Reitz Union on the University of Florida campus in Gainesville.

Registration for MCF will run from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM on the second floor of the Reitz Union, where we will distribute informational folders with programs and bags to participants. Please arrive punctually in business attire (i.e. no jeans, shorts, sneakers). Following registration, the forum will begin with a general session at 9:15 AM in the Auditorium on the second floor of the Reitz Union. The general session is comprised of 10-minute presentations from each of the medical school representatives. At 11:45 AM, there will be a break for lunch. Wendy's and Subway will be open on the first floor of the Reitz Union for your convenience.

The afternoon portion of the forum consists of five different 30-minute sessions. These sessions give you the opportunity to ask specific questions about a medical school's characteristics from the officers themselves. This will not only help you learn more about each school but will also allow you to demonstrate your interest to medical school representatives who will be making decisions concerning your admission. After these sessions, the forum will conclude at 4:15 PM with refreshments in the second floor lobby, where you can further converse with the medical school representatives.

MCF costs $10 this year, which includes a T-shirt (first 300 registered participants only), the program, and refreshments after the forum. Regular registration time registration forms and payment are due to the Premed AMSA office in Room 327 of the Reitz Union no later than Friday, March 17, 2006 at 5:00 PM. Late registration begins Monday, March 20th, 2006 at which time the price is raised to $15 ($10 + $5 late fee). Late registration will end Friday, March 24, 2006 at 5:00pm. Participation is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Make sure to turn in the registration form as soon as possible.
