Why should I attend this forum?

As premed students, we are constantly being bombarded with suggestions and advice about what will increase our chances of getting into medical school. This is NOT just a medical college forum; it includes more than just a host of medical school representatives. As you can see from the workshop schedule, you will gain information not just on medical school requirements but also on programs and tips that will help you make yourself a well-rounded candidate.

I'm not even sure if I want to be premed. What does this forum have to offer me?

If you are not sure of your professional destiny, this is a perfect opportunity to find out! Workshops will give you first hand accounts of what medical school is like. The pre-health advisors and medical school representatives will speak about the rigors and rewards of the medical profession. You will even have the opportunity to talk to medical students at different schools to get their inside perspective on medical school and the admissions process. These things will help you make a more informed decision about your future.

I'm a freshman in college and I have just started taking my premed pre-reqs. I am a long way off from the application process. Is the information that will be presented at this conference really relevant for me right now?

As a Freshman, you have an advantage over many of the other premedical students, because you have time to learn from the experiences of those who are further along in the process. Although it may be another two to three years before you apply to medical school, you will gain a clearer picture of what you need to do to be prepared. It is NEVER too early to begin preparation, and this forum will help you do just that.

I went to MPF last year. Why should I come back this year?

There are many reasons why you should come back, here are just a few:

  • We have expanded the breadth of topics that will be covered
  • There are new speakers every year
  • The line up of schools in attendance changes all the time
  • If you are applying to medical school soon, it is worth the effort to make sure that you are on the right track.

    Where Can I Register?

You can apply through this website. When applications are open, you will be able to access the application throught the Register link in the menu above.
