Medical College Forum
Please read the following information carefully:
Dear Medical College Forum Participant,
The University of Florida Premed AMSA chapter thanks you for your interest in the Thirteenth Annual Medical College Forum. This year's forum will be held on March 27th, 2010 in the J. Wayne Reitz Union on the University of Florida campus in Gainesville.
Check-in for MCF will run from 8:15 AM to 9:15 AM on the second floor of the Reitz Union, where we will distribute informational folders with programs and bags to participants. Please arrive punctually in business attire (i.e. no jeans, shorts, sneakers). Following check-in, the forum will begin with a Medical Student Panel at 9:30 in the Auditorium on the second floor of the Reitz Union. Following the medical student panel, we will break for an early lunch from 11:00am to 12:00pm. The Reitz Union Food Court will be open on the first floor of the Reitz Union for your convenience.
The afternoon portion of the forum consists of six different 30-minute sessions. These sessions give you the opportunity to ask specific questions about a medical school's characteristics from the officers themselves. This will not only help you learn more about each school but will also allow you to demonstrate your interest to medical school representatives who will be making decisions concerning your admission. After these sessions, the forum will conclude with refreshments on the second floor lobby, where you can further converse with the medical school representatives. The forum is expected to end at 4:30pm.
MCF costs $20 this year, which includes a T-shirt, the program, and refreshments after the forum. Regular registration forms and payment are due to the Premed AMSA office in Room 300 Cubicle 1 of the Reitz Union no later than 3:00 pm on March 26th. Late registration, which can be completed until 9:15am the day of the forum, will cost $25 ($20 plus a $5 late fee). Participation is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please make sure to turn in the registration form as soon as possible. If you are unable to deliver the payment in person, you may pay at the forum for the pre-registration rate.
Once again, we thank you for your interest in the Medical College Forum. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to email us at mcf@ufpremed.org or visit our website at www.ufpremed.org.
Please note that you will be required to print Step 3 of this registration.
Sincerely,
Your MCF Directors!
