AMSA PremedFest Conference Planning Group

Our chapter has the exciting privilege of hosting a national AMSA conference this spring, an all new event dedicated to premeds. The vision is for it to not be a typical conference, but instead for it to a celebratory, happy, fun, casual, comfortable, honest, and open environment for premeds to interactively learn about medicine while fostering self-reflection skills and discovery. With a broad focus on topics such as healthcare reform, primary care, health equity, and arts in medicine, it will undoubtedly make for a one-of-a-kind experience.  This is a huge project and we need a lot of help from our members to plan the different sessions and activities for this event. Therefore, we will be having a few open discussion style meetings to brainstorm, the first of which will be Sunday, September 14th, 7:30pm at a location TBA. If you are interested in attending this meeting please email Scott Szymanski at president@ufpremed.organd he will give you more information and how you can play a role. See you there!
